Hershey Park

Mike, Jenna and I took a trip to Hershey Park yesterday with some friends, Eric, Katy, Anna and Bobby, Mandy, Sadie. This was Jenna's first trip to an amusement park. We we unsure of how she was going to do, wondering if she would ride any rides or ride only with us. She LOVED it. She rode some rides with mommy and daddy but also was a big girl and rode some rides all by herself. We were so proud of her. We had a great time with everyone and look forward to going again in the future.

Port Discovery Children's Museum

Jenna and I took a trip to the Port Discovery Children's Museum in Baltimore today with Mandy and her daughter Sadie and Katy and her daughter Anna. We all piled in Mandy's van and made our way to Baltimore. It was much more crowded than I had anticipated, but the areas we were in (the toddler stuff) wasn't too over crowded. Jenna had a blast, her favorites were the music room, where she could beat on all the drums and dance (she loves to dance) and the Water Tables (she loves to play in water). The girls had a great day and wanted a "treat" so we stopped by the McDonald's , that I think was more crowded than the Museum. The girls and us moms got "treats" for the drive home. And much to our surprise, they had a fantastic trip back, Sadie slept for most of the trip, Anna part, and Jenna- nope didn't sleep at all. What a fun day! Can't wait to go again soon.

Jenna's Birthday Party

I can't believe my baby will be 2 years old on Friday. The last two years have flown by. I miss my little 6lb baby but I am enjoying every minute of watching her grow into a toddler- terrible two's here we come. We celebrated on Saturday with our families and friends and had a wonderful time. And she is still enjoy all her new toys. Thanks everyone!

Too Many Ear Infections= Tubes

As most of you know Jenna has been fighting Ear Infections off and on for about a year. After numerous trips to her doctor he decided it was time to see an ENT. Of course the ENT suggested tubes. I was debating it at first but decided it was best for Jenna and I was tired of her being on antibiotics for weeks at a time. So the day came and I was a little nervous, not for the surgery (it lasts 10 minutes) but for my baby be taken away from me by strangers. We arrived at Winchester Medical Center at 7:00 am. We went back, got her dressed in her gown and waited for 8:15 to arrive. She was having fun watching all the nurses and people walk by. But then walks in the doctor and the surgical nurse asked a few questions and swept her away. I had been preparing myself that she was going to have a major meltdown but to my surprise she was fine (they took her away so fast I don't think she had time to realize what was happening). We walked into the waiting room at 8:17 and the doctor walked in at 8:30 letting us know she was all done. Sometimes I wonder how they do it so fast?? The nurse had warned us before that when she wakes up she may be very fussy and not too happy. As she was taking us to Recovery, she said that Jenna woke up, sat up and started talking (babbling). We walked into Recovery and she was sitting on the nurses lap drinking juice and watching Winnie the Pooh, like nothing happened. And all we heard while waiting to leave was how they were amazed at how aleart and happy she was. And we left the hospital at 9:00- start to finish 2 hours- amazing. She has been great today, like I said, you would never know she had surgery. And of course mommy spoiled her with new Barney and Elmo Dvd's. Our Trip To Morgantown

Over the weekend Mike, Jenna and I took trip to Morgantown to visit our families. It was a short trip, one day and one night, but it was nice to visit with my family. On Saturday night my mom and dad watched Jenna so Mike and I could go to dinner for my Birthday. We were out for 3 whole hours without her. When my niece Taylor and nephew Braden found out we were coming, they decided it would be fun to have a sleepover at Grandma and Pappy's with Jenna. They went out for Pizza, had birthday cake (they couldn't wait so they cut the cake before Mike and I returned from dinner), played in a tent and watched movies. Jenna had a blast!
My parents have my nieces' and nephew's old crib at their house for Jenna but in the past several months she has decided that it is more fun to sleep with Mike and I. So after a long day and night we headed home on Sunday morning. Jenna took a 3 1/2 hour nap when we got home (her average is 1 1/2 to 2 hours).

A New Favorite Activity

Last week at Wiggles and Giggles, Jenna painted for the first time and LOVED it. When we were out running errands yesterday we picked up some paint and brushes. She spent a majority of the afternoon painting today. And I am excited we have a new activity to add to our day.

She is Definitely Mine

Jenna and I enjoyed some messy pasta for dinner tonight. As most of you know I am a little bit of a neat freak but as you can see from the pictures I do let her get a little dirty. However I definitely know she is mine because after every few bites she asked for her hands to be wiped off. And after we were all done she enjoyed cleaning up in the sink.

A Day At The Outlets

On Tuesday we spent the day at the Outlets with Katy and Anna. We did some shopping,thanks Mandy for telling us about the sale at Gymboree :) , had lunch and after all of that the girls enjoyed some time playing.

Spring in February?

The last several days have been unseasonably warm and we are LOVING it! We've taken Jenna on walks in the neighborhood and to the park. Today Jenna, Maize, Jack and I enjoyed playing in the backyard.

SuperBowl Party

Way to go Steelers!!! Mike, Jenna and I hosted a SuperBowl Party at the house. There was lots of good food, conversation, and screaming. And the kids had a great time playing (way past their bed times).
